Mr. Persons Williamson Dead

Mr. Persons Williamson, died at his home in Butler at 10 o’clock on Wednesday 
night the 21st inst.  He had been in feeble health for more than twelve months, 
and his death though sad was no surprise to his family and friends.  On 
Saturday night previous to his death he became affected with a derangement of 
the mind and apparently lost his sight, from which he never recovered or spoke 
a word, and all that friends and physicians could do was to no avail.  Mr. 
Williamson was about 50 years of age, and during his life he had held several 
positions of honor and trust, and although he led a checkered career yet he 
possessed a kind and generous disposition.  His remains were interred in the 
cemetery in Butler Thursday evening surrounded by a large number of 
sympathizing relatives and friends, the funeral services being conducted by 
Elder J.G. Murray.
