Collins, after a long, protracted illness from an affection of the lungs died at his home in Butler at 4 o’clock Monday morning. Mr. Collins was in the 56th year of his age and was one of the most influential citizens of the county and at the time of his death was a member of the city council of Butler. He leaves a devoted wife, two sons and two daughters besides many friends and relatives in this county and elsewhere to mourn their loss. His remains will be interred in the cemetery here at 9 o’clock today with Masonic honors. Mr. Collins held a policy of $5000 on his life in the American Legion of Honor, which will be paid over to his family.
