Margie (Perry) Payne
April 1, 1936 ~ October 23, 2019 (age 83)

Mrs. Margie Mae Payne, 83, of Mauk, GA, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 
2019, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on 
Friday, October 25, 2019, at Johnson Cemetery.

Mrs. Payne was born in Fairmount, GA, on April 1, 1936, to Tom and Ruby 
Tillery Perry. She had been employed with the Marion County School System in 
the lunchroom and as a bus driver. Mrs. Payne was Baptist by faith and enjoyed 
hanging out and spending time with her sisters. She also liked spending time 
with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a 
son, Steve Payne and a daughter Helena Payne.

She is survived by her sons, Dennis Payne and John Payne and a daughter, Terry 
Marlene Payne, all of Mauk, GA; by three brothers, Billy Perry, Thomas Danny 
Perry, and Clay Perry; by six sisters, Geneva Cox, Betty Jean Dyer, Lucille 
Turner, Helen Doris Bryant, Carol Sue Stone and Mary Ruth Ray; by two 
grandchildren, Sabrina Payne and John Payne, Jr.; and by two great-
grandchildren, Savannah Sears and Marissa Payne. Several nieces and nephews 
also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
