F.M. Posey Rev. Monroe Posey, 66 years of age, died at his home east of Butler on Thursday last after an illness of several months from cancer. He is survived by a devoted companion and several sons and daughters. Funeral services and interment of the remains of Mr. Posey took place at New Prospect church Friday morning, Rev. C.H. Moore officiating. Mr. Posey had long been a member of the Free Will Baptist church and had been engaged in ministerial work for several years. He was a good farmer and a most useful citizen. Those who were familiar with the life and character of Mr. Posey regarded him with high esteem. He will be greatly missed in his community.
