Gordon Parks Funeral services for John Gordon Parks were held at 3 p.m., Monday, in the Howard Methodist Church with the Rev. E.H. Dunn officiating. Internment was in the Howard Cemetery. The son of the late John Gillensworth and Jefferson Lovenia Carr Parks, he was born in Taylor County, June 14,1882. He had made his home in the county all his life. He was a member of the Junction City Baptist Church and was a retired railroad employee. Mr. Parks died at 4 a.m., Sunday, July 13, in the Upson County Hospital after a short illness. He had been in declining health for some time. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Julia Lois Woods Parks of Howard; three daughters, Mrs. William Buckner of Junction City, Mrs. Carl Butler of Talbotton and Mrs. J.H. Vann of Warner Robins; four brothers, Carson Parks of Butler, Raymond Parks of Fullerton, Ca, Errol Parks of Alameda, Ca, and Donald Parks of Albany.
