Pike (Hand dated April 14,66) On Thursday at 9 a.m. Julian E. Pike, 64, 107 York St, passed away at Meriwether Memorial Hospital of a heart attack. Mr. Pike was a native of Taylor County, was born April 24, 1901, son of the late Benjamin and Martha Whitley Pike. He had resided here for 41 years. He was a barber, and a member of the First Baptist Church, where the funeral was held with the Rev. William O’Connor officiating. Pallbearers were James Pike, Sam Pike, A.B. Pike, Eugene Pike, Carol Watson, and Kenneth Pike. Honorary pallbearers were Foster Buchanan, J.L. Dean, Kenneth McLeroy, T.H. McWilliams, George Kennedy, and Ed Anderson. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. J.E. Pike, Manchester; daughters, Mrs. Nolan Kimball, Manchester; Mrs. Haywood Johnson, Manchester; Mrs. Joe Tyson, Tifton; One son, Everett Pike, Manchester; One sister, Mrs. John Brady, Mauk; brothers, J.W. Pike, Manchester; J.R. Pike, Mauk; David Pike, Warner Robins; Stepmother, Mrs. B.J. Pike, Junction City; 24 grandchildren.
