He was about 24 years old, the son of Elder Cornelious Roquemore, and a member of one of the most influential colored families in the county. The boy’s death is greatly deplored by all our people being held in high esteem by all who knew him. He was in the service only a short time, being among those recently sent from here to the training camp.
