Taylor COUNTY GA Ruffin, Mrs. Bonnie Newsome File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Angela Covington http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/taylor/obits/ruffinb.txt Mrs. Bonnie Ruffin (Hand written date of 4/6/62) REYNOLDS, Ga.- Mrs. Bonnie Ruffin, 68, died at 8:30 a.m. Friday at Macon Hospital after a two-week illness. Mrs. Ruffin was born June 30,1892, in Taylor County, Ga., daughter of the late Benjamin Holmes and Ida Sanders Newsome. She was a member of Reynolds Baptist Church, where she had been an organist for 53 years. She was a music teacher at Butler High School and a member of the WMU and the Woman’s Club of Butler. Funeral will be held at Reynolds Baptist Church at 3 p.m. today. The Rev. J.R. Whiddon, pastor, will conduct the service. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery with Goddard’s Funeral Home of Reynolds in charge. Deacons of the church served as pallbearers. Survivors include her husband, Lewis Ruffin; a daughter, Mrs. Winnifred Ruffin Harrell; a brother, Eric A. Newsome; a sister, Mrs. E.W.
