Sikes Primitive Baptist Minister Dead Hon. J.F. Sikes died at Milledgeville on Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock. His son-in-law, Mr. Sid Bassett, reached his bedside a few moments after his demise. Mr. Sikes was seventy years old, and his death was the result of a general giving way from age and sickness. He is survived by his wife and one daughter. Mr. Sikes was a minister of the Primitive Baptist church. Elder Sikes was a true leader of those of his religious faith and was highly estimated by all who knew him. He represented Houston in the Georgia legislature, and was one term state senator from the 23 district Houston, Crawford and Taylor counties
