Was married to Pleasant Gresham December 25, 1821 and moved to Upson county in 1827. Having lost her husband she was married to John Snelson June 20, 1856, whom she survived many years. She was baptized at Good Hope church, Upson County about 1828, by Zachariah Gordon, the father of Governor John B. Gordon. She was a cripple for many years, caused by a fall soon after her second marriage. She was confined to her bed over four years, and bore her affliction with that degree of fortitude that characterized all those who are blessed with an abiding trust in God, and calmly fell asleep in Jesus at her home in Meriweather county, Ga.
