Saturday, June 21, 2001 Waverly Hall, Ga. Lumus Lester Spinks, 100, of Waverly Hall, Ga. died Thursday, June 21, 2001 at Oakview Nursing Home in Waverly Hall. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday at Parkhill Cemetery, with Brother Gene Rosinbaum officiating, according to Striffer-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel. Th e family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Spinks was born October 1, 1900 in Taylor Co., Ga., son of the late William Alonzo and Annie Belle Wade Spinks. He had lived in Columbus all of his life, and retired in 1966 as a car inspector for the Central Of Georgia Railroad. He was the widower of Annie Lou Spinks who died on June 14th of this year. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn L. and Bobbie H.
