She leaves a devoted husband, two sisters and one brother. Matt was a splendid colored woman of unusual character and gifted in many ways. She spent her later days dressmaking in which she displayed great skill. She was much liked by both white and black and will be greatly missed. She was buried Sunday out at Little Vine church by the side of her parents.
