Taylor COUNTY GA Tucker, James Brantley File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Angela Covington http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/taylor/obits/tucker.txt James Brantley Tucker (Published May 10,1963) A Taylor County man was killed about 9 o’clock Friday night when the car he was driving left the road and overturned. James Brantley Tucker, 27 years old, was alone in the car at the time of the accident which occurred about 4 miles south of Geneva in Talbot County. Funeral services for Mr. Tucker were held Sunday 4 p.m. at the Horeb Baptist Church with the Rev. Hershel Whitley, pastor of the church, officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. E.C. McDaniel. Interment was in the Southview Cemetery in Thomaston. Born in Taylor County, November, 1936, the son of Eddie L. and Della Mae Roberts Tucker, he was a lifetime resident of the county. He was a foreman with the State Highway Department. Survivors include: his parents; four sisters, Mrs. Donna Brady and Mrs. Betty Johnson of Thomaston, Mrs. Mildred Poteat, Columbus, and Mrs. Clara Mae McCook, Macon; eight brothers, Bethel, Jesse, Horace, Robert, Aubrey, and Willie Tucker all of Thomaston, Boyd Tucker of Howard and James Edward Tucker of the U.S. Army stationed at Cambridge, Ca; several nieces and nephews. Edwards Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements with the following serving as pall bearers: Wayne Goggins, Lewis Smith, W.J.
