Death Of A Sweet Little Girl

News of the death of little Martha Walden, the three years and three months old
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grady Walden, at Aiken, S.C. which was received here
Monday night, was the source of sincere regret to the many friends of the
parents, grandparents and other relatives and in whose behalf much sympathy is
extended.

The cause of the child’s death was from spinal meningitis, which baffled the
skill of the best physicians for several weeks.

The remains were brought here for interment yesterday accompanied by the
parents, also Rev. and Mrs. John Locke, who had been attending the bedside of
the little sufferer during its illness.  Funeral and interment took place
yesterday at Mt. Pisgah cemetery.
