A. Watson Dies At Shingler, Ga. Taylor county friends were saddened by the announcement Friday of the death of Mr. A. A. (Chealy) Watson, at his home at Shingler, Ga. For many years Mr. Watson was a highly esteemed citizen of this county. He was about 70 years of age and is survived by his widow and the following children: Mrs. F. R. Purvis of Howard; Messrs. Wansie, Henry Lucius, Lonnie and Jim Stewart Watson, all of South Ga. Three sisters and two brothers also survive him. They are Mrs. Z. D. Gill, Mrs. A. S. Waller and Mrs. Beulah Chapman of this county; Mrs. W. D. Gill of Manchester; Mr. A. W. Watson, of Texas, and Mr. Jack Watson, of Atlanta. His remains were laid to rest Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at Bloodworth cemetery, impressive funeral services being conducted by Elder J. M. Murray, of Ellaville. Mr. Watson was a consistent member of the Primitive Baptist church, a man of the highest character and one who stood on the right side of every moral question. The Herald joins other friends in extending sincere sympathy to the bereaved family. Additional Comments: Anderson was the son of Benjamin B. Watson and Frances Rebecca Lawhorn. He married Mary Jane (Mollie) Giles on 31 Jan 1878 in Taylor County, Ga. The couple had eight children. Anderson and Mollie are buried at Mt.
