Whittle Mrs. W.H. Whittle, a most estimable Christian lady, about 65 years of age died at her home five miles north-west of Butler Tuesday afternoon at 5 o’clock after a lingering illness of several weeks. She and her husband, Mr. Whittle, had been married for more than fifty years and reared quite a large family of sons and daughters, most of whom are living. She was a life long member of the Methodist church at the Camp Ground, andher walk in life, both at home and abroad were daily exemplifications of the saving power of the Son of God. She possessed a very beautiful trait of character, in that she never spoke of the faults and failings of others, but rather had a good word of cheer for the fallen and wayward. She was indeed and in truth a good Christian woman. Besides her aged husband, she leaves one daughter, Mrs. Ophelia Heath, and four sons, Perry, Henry, John and Sidney Whittle to mourn their loss. Her remains were interred in the Camp Ground cemetery Wednesday afternoon, the funeral services conducted by Rev. J.T. Adams.
