O. White Passed Away Monday At Plains Hospital After Long Illness. The death of Mrs Jetta Hill White, wife of Mr C. O. White, of near Rupert, this county, removes a woman from the scene of earthly labors who was a good citizen, a devoted and loving daughter, sister and wife, and leaves a host of friends to mourn their loss. Mrs White's health had been impaired for several years and took a turn for the worse two weeks ago when she was taken to the hospital at Plains for an operation. While there she suffered an attack of heart trouble that caused her death unexpectedly. Mrs White was the daughter of Mr Hamp and Mrs Mary Ann Moulton Hill, was born and reared in Taylor County. She was born in May 1882. She was a member of the Prosperity Primitive Baptist Church and a consecrated Christian. Her life was one of service for others and she scattered along life's pathway the flowers of love and noble deeds. Besides the deeply grieved husband the deceased is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Messrs. Edmond Hill, of Ochlochnee, Ga., R. E. Hill, of Ellaville, Ga., J. A. Hill of Alabama; A. C. Hill, Jr., of Manchester; Mrs R. E. Smith of Birmingham, and Mrs Emma White of Rupert. Funeral and interment of the remains took place at Prosperity Cemetery Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, the funeral being conducted by her pastor Elder T. D. Roberts. His tribute was one of tender sympathy and helpfulness. The very large gathering of friends and large floral offerings were abundant testimony to the esteem in which this good woman and the family are held. Joan Hill vjbhill@alltel.net
