Schrimpshire* while in life and that this was the same person whose name appears on the 1923 Pension Roll of Taylor County, and was paid a Pension of One Hundred Dollars in said County for 1922, and I now believe said pensioner to be dead. Given under my hand and official seal, this 1st day of May 1923. A.H. Riley, Ordinary Taylor County *Mr. Schrimshire’s name was entered incorrectly on this document. It should read R. (Robert) W. (Wilson) Schrimshire. During my research I’ve found the Schrimshire named to be spelled several ways: Schrimpshire, Scrimshire and Schrimshire. His daughter, Gussie Schrimshire Adams, wrote her Father’s obituary and spelled his last name as Schrimshire. I believe this to be the correct spelling of the name.
