This picture was made sometime in 1908. Ezekiel went by the nickname of Boss and was born 8/27/1877 in Taylor County. He was the son of Ezekiel Amos Adams, Jr. and Sarah Jane Gaultney. Annabelle was the only daughter of Isaac and Lura Garrett. Annabelle was born on 7/7/1882 in Taylor County. The couple married on 7/10/1898 in Macon County, Ga. They had five children, Claudia (known as Claudie),Henry Rayford, Bessie Lee, Eugene and Lillian Lucile. The Adams family experienced much sadness due to the loss of four family members within six years. Bessie Lee, died at the age of 2 (11/30/1906), Claudie died two days after her 9th birthday (8/12/1908), and their mother, Annabelle, died on 7/11/1913, due to complications in childbirth and the baby died as well. Boss Adams went on to marry his second wife, Gussie Schrimshire, later the same year. He died on 1/11/1948 in Columbus, Ga. Boss, Annabelle and their children are buried at Bloodworth Cemetery - Mt.
