(Margaret Scott) 15 Jul 1839 8 Aug 1889 Additional Comments: MARTIN CEMETERY Location: Land Lot 63 District 15 Take 96 west our of Butler. Martin Cemetery located on the left hand side of the first dirt road to the left, just past the power sub station near the 7 mile Ga 96 Highway marker. Ga 96 was made into a four land road in 1998 and the road is now named Back Road and is paved for about 100 feet and then is dirt. While going down to Back Road, look up and see a power line cross over the road and go about 50 yards and there is a pine tree on the left with a small metal sign--MARTIN CEMETERY. There are 2 Posted signs on the same pine tree. About 100 feet back from the road is another tree with another MARTIN CEMETERY SIGN. You can see the headstones of the first (north most) cemetery from the Back road. About 100 feet to the south of the Martin Cemetery(through the trees) is the second cemetery. The two small cemeteries are about half way down to where the road turns and goes under the high voltage power lines.
