The Butler Herald Thursday, May 30, 1918 Page Five Bartlett – Brooks A wedding which was of great interest to people over the county was that of Miss Vera Bartlett and Mr. Jack Brooks which was solemnized at the parsonage last Thursday May 23rd. On account of the illness of the brother of the bride no guests were present at the home as first planned but a few of the most intimate friends and relatives of the party accompanied them to the parsonage where a most impressive ceremony was solemnized. The bride is widely known over the county as she has been a most successful teacher in a number of our county schools. Her friends are numbered by her acquaintances. The groom is a very successful and popular businessman of Butler and has scores of friends here who are pleased to know they will make their future home here. We wish for them the happiest and most successful future and may God’s richest blessings be upon this happy couple.
