Slaughter – Brown

A marriage of unusual surprise occurred last Thursday when Miss Clyde 
Slaughter, the charming daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Slaughter, and Mr. Otis 
Brown, of Howard, drove to the home of Mr. W.T. England and were happily 
married.  We wish them much happiness.

Slaughter – Brown

Mr. O.O. Brown met Miss Clyde Slaughter at Daviston where she was attending 
school on Thursday afternoon and they drove to the home of Mr. W.T. England and 
had him perform the ceremony which made them man and wife.  They selected this 
manner of marrying as the bride’s parents objected on account of her youth.  
They are now at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Brown, of this place.  They have 
the good wishes of their many friends for a long and happy life.
