The handsome and talented young bridegroom was Mr. Charles L. Brooks, of Monticello, Fla., and the bride was Miss Georgia Hodges, a charming and popular daughter of Mr. H. Hodges, one of our most influential citizens. The Baptist church was filled to its upmost capacity with kind and loving friends, from far and near, who has assembled to witness this marriage, and at the appointed hour the beautiful anthem, Break Forth Into Joy, heralded the approach of the bridal party, who keeping time to Mendelsohn’s Wedding March under the skillfultouches of Mrs. R.J. Gostis, and entered in the following manner: The groomsmen, who were Messrs. Lewis Lucas and E.J. Frederick; Hollis H. Aultman and T.W. Poole, Eddie Bryan, Marshallville, Ga., and H.A. Paris; E.M. Cooper and Frank S. Hardeman, Macon, Ga.; B.M. Jackson and Eugene Beall; George W. Hodges, Macon, Ga. and John Brooks, Monticello, Fla., ascended the right aisle in pairs, at brief intervals apart, until they reached the altar where they crossed to the left and the bridesmaids consisting of the following young ladies: Misses Lottie Goddard and Nettie Paris; Mrs. Hollis H. Aultman and Miss Eulah Beall; Misses Lulah Ricks and Emma Lockett, Misses Dovie Aultman and Laura Saylor; Misses Ida Goddard and Ada Taunton, of Cuthbert, Ga. Misses Sallie Windham and Eula Hodges, entered at the left and crossed to the right, the bride and groom following, and taking their place under a beautiful arch of evergreens, hyacinths and daffodils, the initials B. and H. most exquisitely made of sweet violets, promised eternal fidelity to each other so long as they both should live, under the beautiful and impressive ceremony of Rev. W.J.
