Oct. 26th, 1891 – 

Mr. G.W. Hodges the popular assistant post master, and Miss May, the 
accomplished daughter of Mr. Ethredge, were married at the Baptist church 
yesterday morning, the Rev. W.J. Durham officiating.  The church was 
beautifully decorated with flowers, ferns, etc. and was darkened, the lamps 
lighted and it was an unusually pretty sight.  The contracting parties are both 
young and have the best wishes of a host of friends.  “May they live long and 
prosper” is the wish of everyone.
