Sept. 2nd, 1892 – At the residence of Mr. W.M. Bryan, the bride’s brother-in-law, on the 21st ult., was united in marriage Mr. T.J. Fitzgerald and Miss Nettie Douglass. It was generally understood that the marriage would take place at the Methodist church at 8:00 p.m. but disappointments will come and such was the case in this instance. Miss Nettie had ordered a good many things that were positively necessary for such an occasion, and owing to the neglect of the Express Company they failed to come in time. The contracting parties decided then to have a quite marriage. Only a few select friends were present. We can say for the groom he is one of the best citizens of Worth County. The bride has been engaged in the millinery business this year, and has made a good many friends in Ashburn. Captain Henderson performed the ceremony. The Ashburn Advance was very enthusiastic in regard to the marriage.
