Married

At the Methodist church in Butler at 5 o’clock on Wednesday evening last were 
united in marriage Mr. Robert L. Ford, of Isabella, Worth County, Ga. to Miss 
Julia Wilchar, of Taylor County.  Rev. J.T. Adams performed the ceremony in a 
pleasant and appropriate manner, after which the bride and groom took the 6 
p.m. train for Albany, amid many congratulations.  After spending a few days 
pleasantly at Albany they will then go to Isabella their future home.

The church was decorated by the young ladies of Butler with evergreen and 
beautiful flowers in an artistic manner, and long before the time of arrival of 
the bride and groom, the church was crowded to its utmost capacity with the 
friends and relatives of the happy couple.  It was one of the most pleasant 
marriages that has ever taken place in our community and we are glad to know 
that our citizens took such a pride in giving to these, our friends, such a 
warm reception to the love and respect of our town.

Mr. Ford is a gentleman of excellent character and one of the most prosperous 
businessmen of Southern Georgia, who is engaged at present in mercantile and 
agricultural pursuits.  The bride is one of the most beautiful, lovable and 
accomplished young ladies of this county whose home has been in Brunswick 
mostly for the past few years.  She has every quality of mind and heart to make 
happy the home and lives of all with whom she may be associated.  With a host 
of friends we join in wishing for Mr. and Mrs. Ford a long, happy and 
prosperous life.
