Sunday at 11 o'clock at Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church this County, occurred 
the marriage of Mr. Elijah P. Parker and Miss Nannie Brown, daughter of Mr. Jim 
Brown, of Howard.  The marriage was unexpected to all except their most 
intimate friends.  Rev. S.T. Bently officiated.  After the ceremony was 
performed they drove to Howard where they took the train for the home of the 
groom near Columbus. - Butler Herald
