Powell and Miss Mamie Sistrunk were united in marriage, Rev. J.J. Farmer officiating. The marriage was a quiet one, only known by the immediate friends and relatives of the couple. Both are residents of Reynolds, where Mr. Powell is the efficient postmaster and is one of the most successful merchants in this county. He is a well and favorably known throughout the state. Miss Sistrunk is a niece of Mr. E.B. Waters. She was formerly a resident of Butler and was loved by all who knew her for her sweet disposition. She has paid our city many pleasant visits recently. The Herald extends congratulations and best wishes. NOTE: This was the second marriage for William Ingram Powell. The first was to Mandy Frances "Fanny" Hill, daughter of Slaughter Hill and Missouri Annice Moulton. They had 3 (perhaps 4) children. She died August 5, 1895. Buried Hillcrest Cemetery, Reynolds, Ga.
