The marriage occurred at Macon Saturday while the young people were attending the fair, and was not wholly a surprise to their friends who have rather expected this happy culmination of strong ties of friendship that has so closely bound these young people for some time. Miss Rawls, who is the pretty and highly accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.B. Rawls of this city, went to Macon last week to visit friends and attend the fair. Mr. Salzer’s present home is at Jacksonville, Fla., where he has an excellent position with Messrs. Wright & Co. He is the youngest son of Charles Salzer, of this place and was reared in Butler leaving here only a few months ago to engage in business at Jacksonville. He is a most exemplary young man, industrious, honorable and affable. He came to Macon last week. When time for his return arrived the separation was too great for the young couple so they decided to delay the nuptial ceremony no longer and proceeded to make use of the license that had been procured by them as well as the services of an accommodating minister. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Salzer left for Jacksonville, their future home. The Butler Herald Tuesday, October 24, 1911 Page Three Local Paragraphs Friends in Butler will be interested to learn from letters received last week, that Mr. and Mrs. Grover Salzer arrived safely at Jacksonville, where they will spend their honeymoon. They say they had a delightful trip and are quite pleasantly located for the winter. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 2.3 Kb
