Beeland and Miss Eva M. Barfield, which took place in the hall of the first floor of the courthouse Sunday afternoon about 4 o’clock. The young people were from Panhandle district and were enjoying a delightful Sunday afternoon drive when they decided to get married and driving to Butler they found friends ready to assist them in their little scheme. Ordinary Wilson, who is always accommodating, performed the ceremony in the presence of a large crowd that had gathered on short notice. The bride is the daughter of Mr. J.L. Barfield of Panhandle and an attractive girl of 14 or 15 summers. Mr. Beeland is a good farmer and held in high esteem by all who know him.
