Bartlett of this city and Miss Gussie Leigh Cook, were happily married last night at nine o’clock at the home of the bride near Geneva. The wedding was a quiet home affair attended only a selected number of relatives and friends of the couple. The decorations of the home and the ceremony itself was both beautiful and impressive. Both the bride and groom are very popular among a large circle of friends, all of whom are congratulating the happy couple. Mr. Bartlett is engaged in the mercantile business here. He has a full and well arranged stock of goods and by his genial disposition and liberal dealings has built up a large trade. Hundreds of customers have found it a pleasure to trade at his store. Miss Cook is one of the most attractive and highly accomplished young women of our neighbor town. She is a niece of the late J.W. McCrary at one time the leading merchant and businessman of this place. Leaving Geneva last night on the late train for Macon Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett will take a short honeymoon trip and are due to arrive at Butler the latter part of the week, when they will be showered with congratulations and the bride extended a most cordial and hearty welcome to our city.
