Promptly at three o’clock the couple unattended took their places in the parlor where Rev. J.T. Adams of Butler, performed the ceremony in a most beautiful and impressive manner. At the close of the ceremony congratulations were extended. The bride is a young lady of many graces of mind and person and who is capable of filling the home she will adorn with happiness and prove to be truly a helpmate and companion to the husband she has chosen to honor with her hand. The groom is from one of the best families in the county, being a son of Mr. and Mrs. G.O. Horton, of Panhandle, and by those who know him best he is considered one of the most substantial young men of this section. Immediately after the ceremony a sumptuous dinner was spread, which was greatly enjoyed the by kins people, many neighbors and numerous friends from both far and near who were invited to share the pleasures of the happy event. To say that the reception was grand and the dinner magnificent expresses only mildly the success of truly one of the most delightful occasions that has transpired in that section of the county in a very long time. Attesting the popularity of the couple the presents they received on their wedding day were both numerous and costly. The Herald is greatly pleased to add its hearty good wishes to those freely extended to Mr. and Mrs. Horton.
