Taylor and Dr. H.C. Crelly Married at Birmingham September 30th Host of Taylor County friends of Mrs. Annie Montfort Taylor, the accomplished daughter of Hon. and Mrs. O.T. Montfort, of Butler, will be interested to learn of her marriage on September 30th to Dr. H.C. Crelly, of Birmingham. The Birmingham News, of Sunday last contained the following account of the wedding: “A marriage of interest to many friends in the city was that of Mrs. Annie M. Taylor and Dr. H.C. Crelly, which took place at the home of Mrs. Frank Edwards on Tuesday evening, where the ceremony was performed by the Rev. J.E. Dillard.” “Miss Alice Jackson and Miss Bess Jackson, of Dothan, were the bridesmaids and wore dark tailored suits and carried red roses. Mrs. Frank Edwards was the matron of honor and wore a gown of blackbeaded crepe. Her flowers were also red roses.” “The bride wore a traveling suit of brown, trimmed with fur, with hat to match. Her bouquet was of rose and valley lilies.” “Miss Minnie McNeill played the wedding music and the bride and groom left at once for New York and upon their return will be at home at Norwood.” --------------------- As evidence of high esteem the couple received many handsome and costly gifts from friends. Among these gifts was a large silver baking dish from the Hillman Hospital board, where Mrs. Taylor has rendered most valuable services as a professional nurse for a number of years, also a set of china from the Board at Norwood Hospital.
