Will of Thomas Amerson 14 Mar 1867 Taylor County, GA Will of Thomas Amerson, 1867 Georgia ) In the name of God amen I Thomas Amerson of Taylor County ) said State and County being of sound mind and disposing mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of mortal life do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me Item first: I desire and direct that my body be buried in a Decent and Christian-like manner suitable to my circumstances and Condition in life, my soul I trust shall return to rest with God who gave it as I hope for eternal salvation through the merits and atonement of the blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Item second: I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay by my Executrix or Executors hereinafter appointed as I am unwilling that my creditors should be delayed in their just rights Item third: I give bequeath and devise to my beloved wife Sarah for and during her natural life or widowhood only all of the restand residue of the property of which I may die possessed consistingof Land, Houses, Mules, Cows, Hogs or other stock, money, notes, accounts, household and furniture _____ with full power to use therwhole or any part thereof for the maintainence and support of herself and family and for the education of my minor children and at her death or intermarriage I desire and direct that the said property or the remainder thereof be equally divided between all my children share and share alike Item fourth: I hereby constitute and appoint my beloved Sarah Executrix and my two sons Eli Amerson and Thomas J Amerson Executors of this my last Will and Testament with full power to sell the whole of said property or any part thereof and re-invest the moneyin other property whenever they may consider that it would be to the interest of my Estate to do so.
