Joiner --------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------- (Actual Will) Page 159 - Will of M. L. Brand State of Georgia, County of Taylor I, Malachi L. Brand of said county and state, being weak of body but of sound and disposing mind do make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me. Item 1st - I desire to be buried in a plain and decent manner by the side of my departed wife, Emeline. Item 2nd - I want my debts paid if I should owe any at once by my executor hereinafter named. Item 3rd - I want all of the property of every kind both real and personal that I may have at my death to be sold at public sale by my executor & I want the money arising from said sale to be equally divided share and share alike between all of my children that are then living & I want the children of my deceased children to stand in the place & stead of their deceased parents & to receive what their parents would have received had they been living at the time of my death except for my daughter Julia Hawkins who has had her share of my estate & I don't want her nor her child to have any share of my estate whatever. I want the sum of seventy two dollars and thirty cents taken out of of my son Butler E. Brands part or share of estate with interest from the 24th of November 1891. The rate of interest on this amount shall be seven percent per annum as his wife is owing me that amount. Item 4th - I hereby nominate and appoint my friend & neighbor William M. Musslewhite executor of this my last will & testament believing that he execute the same in good faith. Signed this the 4th day of July 1894. (signed M.
