Dodge as legatee as aforesaid under the will of Thomas Dodge, decd. do each of us acknowledge and confess the receipt of all our respective claims… against the Estate and under the Will of Thomas A. Dodge being duly sworn Says that he is a resident of the County of Livingston in the State of New York and resided there for 24 years last past: Deponent further says upon information and belief that on or about the 28th day of May 1853 one Thomas A. Dodge departed this life at Fort Valley in the County of Taylor and State of Georgia leaving a last Will and Testament (nuncupative) which was after duly proved before the Ordinary of said County and admitted to probate and that in and by said will he gave and bequeathed to his two sisters all property of any kind or name of which he died possessed. Deponent says that he has been well and intimately acquainted with the family of the said Thomas A. Dodge decd. and is conversant with all changes that have taken place therein since the death of Thomas A. Dodge That said Thomas A. Dodge left his surviving two sisters there then residing in Livingston County, New York by name Amelia L. and Catharine Dodge. That the said Amelia L. Dodge afterwards married one Goddard and is still living and now resides at York Center in Livingston County, aforesaid That the said Catharine Dodge at her house in Livingston in said County and on or about the 24th day of September 1865 departed this life intestate leaving as her sole heir at law her father Thomas Dodge who thereupon came into Possession of all her property and effects. That the said Thomas Dodge at Leicester in said County aforesaid and on or about the 14th day of April 1876 died leaving a last will and testament in and which he demised and bequeathed to his only surviving son James. D. Dodge all property of any kind and nature of which he died possessed which was duly admitted to probate by the Surrogate of Livingston County in the State of New York aforesaid Deponent further says that the said Amelia D. Goddard and the said James D. Dodge are the only persons now living who have interest in or claim to the Estate of Thomas A. Dodge decd. Sworn to before me this 20th day of June 1877. Fred B.
