GARRETT wife of ROBERT M. GARRETT having separated herself from her husband said ROBERT M. (GARRETT) now the said JULIA A. (GARRETT) for and in consideration of the natural love she has for her children LAVENE REEVES, HENRY THOMAS GARRETT, GEORGIA HOGG, BENNIE S GARRETT, ELIZABETH GARRETT, JULIA L. GARRETT, & HERBERT GARRETT does hereby give grant bargain & convey to the said ROBERT M. GARRETT father & guardian & trustee of said children the following property, to wit: Lot 45, 76, 100 acres of 113, 114, 116, 159, 203, 100 acres of 210, 100 acres of 211, 238, 150 acres 239, 240, 147 acres of 243, all lying in District 12 of Taylor County Georgia. The said ROBERT M. GARRETT guardian and trustee as aforesaid is to have full use & control of said land & the proceeds of the same & is to have the right & power to sell rent out or lease for a term of years, or if he thinks best trade said land in any manner he sees fit & thinks best for our said children heretofore named in this paper. Said ROBERT M. is to have the sole use & control & management of said land to keep & use the same as he thinks best for the benefit of our said children without any orders from any court in this state so long as he lives & of the proceeds of the said land he is to furnish me enough to live on comfortably so long as I live & send the same to me wherever I may be & at the death of said ROBERT M. GARRETT, this property is to be divided equally between the children heretofore named in this instrument & if any of my said children shall die leaving any child or children then said child or children is to stand in place of its or their parents place. All the personal property mules, cows, hogs, wagons, buggies, cane mill, corn, fodder, household & kitchen furniture is to go and be kept & used sold, traded in any way may said husband thinks best, so long as he lives & at his death is also to go to my said children share and share alike. I do this as a matter of love & duty not only to my children but also to said ROBERT M. GARRETT who has always been a good husband to me. Now should me & husband still live together as man and wife this paper is still to be of full force & the said ROBERT M. GARRETT is to have full control of everything I own & possess so long as he lives & at his death should I be the longest lived said property is not to be divided until my death. Edwards, who having duly sworn deposes and says on oath that he is one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing dated May 25, 1895 & that he as well as W. L. HOGG and J. E. Davant saw the within named JULIA A. GARRETT sign, seal and publish said instrument of writing as her last will & testament; that he subscribed the same as a witness thereto at special instance and request of the said JULIA A. GARRETT and in her presence as did also the said W. L. HOGG and J. E. Davant that the said JULIA A. GARRETT signed the same freely and voluntarily, and was at the time of signing said instrument of sound and disposing mind & memory. W. P. Edwards Sworn to & subscribed before me August 7, 1899. J.
