    I, Nancy Mathews, of said Stae and county being of sound and disposing mind 
and memory do make this my last Will and Testament.

Item First: I give bequeath and devise to my grand-son John Henry Mathews, son 
of George Washington Mathews and Nora Adeline Mathews, one bay horse four years 
old named Selam (?) the said property to rest absolutely in the said John Henry 
Mathews at my death and hereby appoint George Washington Mathews (father of 
said John Henry Mathews) trustee of John Henry Mathews.

Item second: I give bequeath and devise to the children of George Washington 
Mathews and Nora Adeline Mathews to be divided equally between them all other 
property that I may  possess at the time of my death -  said property to remain 
in the possession of George Washington Mathews as trustee for his said children 
until and if the said George should die before his wife (Nora Adeline) the said 
Nora Adeline is to become trustee of the children till her death or during her 
widowhood. The said property to remain in her possession during her life as 
trustee for the children - provided she the said Nora Adeline should remain a 
widow. If she the said Nora should remarry the said property to be sold and 
divided equally among the children of G. W. Mathews and Nora A. Mathews.

Item third: I hereby constitute and appoint my son George Washington Mathews 
Executor of this my Last Will ad Testament - This Ap'l 28th 1885

    Signed, delivered and published by Nancy Mathews as her Last Will and 
Testament in the presence of said testator (at her instance and request) and of 
each other - she signing in our presence and we signing in her presence.

     In person appeared before James D,. Russ Ordinary in and for said county 
L. C. Chambers and Z. J. Worsham two of the witnesses to the foregoing Will of 
Nancy Mathews late of said county dec'd, who being duly sworn _________ of the 
_________ that they the said Chambere and Worsham ________ the said Nancy 
Mathews sign and publish the same as her Last Will and Testament on the day and 
year as therein stated as executed by her - that they witnessed the same at her 
request as did also A. W. Hicks the other subscribing witness to said Will in 
the presence of said Nancy Mathews and in the presence of each other. That the 
____________was voluntarily executed by her while she was of sound and 
disposing mind and memory - So help me God. Sworn and subscribed before me This 
5th day of January 1885.

   I, George W. Mathews, do solemnly swear that the foregoing writing ( being 
the first and second pages of the sheet of paper) contains the true Last Will 
and Testament of Nancy Mathews late of said County dec'd, so far as I know or 
believe and that I will well and truly execute the same in accordance with the 
laws of this State - So help me God.

Additional Comments:
Lenorah "Nora" Adeline Shirah Mathews was the daughter of Lucinda Massey and 
John Shirah. Nora was the granddaughter of Kimbrell and Lucinda Massey. The 
death notices for both Nora A. and George W. Mathews were previously posted to 
usgenweb. On the 1870 Taylor Co., GA census Lucinda, Lenorah Adeline, Thomas A. 
and George W. Shirah are listed in the household of their step father William 
Roberts. They are living next door to the Kimbrell and Lucinda Massey family.
