Will of William Royal Taylor County, GA The following is a transcript of the will of WAH Royal on file at the Taylor County Ga. Courthouse. As it is handwritten some words are indistinct. I have placed a {?} after indistinct words. Will of WAH Royal State of Georgia Taylor Conty In the name of God Amen. I WAH Royal of said state and county being of advanced age but of sound and disposing mind and memory knowing that i must shortly depart this life, deem it right and proper both as respects my family and myself that I should make a disposition of the property with wich a kind providence has blessed me. I do therefore make this my last will and testement hereby revoking and annuling all others by me therefore named. First, I desire and direct that my body be burried in a decent and Christian like manner suitable to my circumstances and condition and my soul I trust shall return to rest with God who gave it as I hope for rest with salvation through the merits and atonment of the Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Secondly, I desire and direct that my just debts be paied without delay by my Executors herewith named and appointed. Thirdly, I give and bequeth and devise {?} to my beloved wife Elizabeth J. Royal all my property to raise and educate all the children. I want them all to have a good english education. To hold all said property altogether untill the youngest child becomes of age unless she should die or enter marrage before that time and if should marry that will deprive her of all interest in my estate whatever in eiter {?} event then. Fourthly, I give to Emma Watkins and to Ida Royal all that portion of my land lying south of the Cross {?} fence running east from my house to William Mosses. The North half to belong to Emma Watkins and the South half of the said land to belong to Ida Royal and all that portion lying South of the Cross fense running to William Mosses I give to Ida Royal and twenty five acres South of Cedar Creek No. 165 and all of each one of three parcels of land to be valued at Twelvehundred and fifty Dollars apiece for each one. Fourthly, {sic} When the youngest child becomes of age I give & bequeth and devise {?} to my beloved wife Elizabeth J Royal all of lot of land number one hundred and eighty eight west of the Butler Road commencing at Cedar Creek Bridge and running to the North line of said lot of land with allthe rights menbess {?} and oppustemmmm {?} to said lot of land in anywise belonging in fee simple one horse one cow & calf one sow & pig all of such she may choose from my stock herself and a sufficient amount the house hold and kitchen furniture and farming tools to do her and to run her farm and twelve months support. I give all of this fourth section to my beloved wife Elizabeth J Royal during her natural life or her widowhood in case she shall enter marage again to any other person that will relinquish her rights to said fourth section or anyclaim in my estate the property devised {?} and bequested in the above article to my wife is in full extinguishment {?} of her whole right of Dower in my real persnal estate. Fifthly, The residue of my property both real and personal whereever and whatever it may be to be sold at the highest bidder for cash and an equal division between all my legal heirs when the youngest child becomes of age and al the property in the fourth section given to my at her death or her enter marry again to anyone else is to be sold as above described with the balance of my estate I want Asa and John to have a horse {?} a piese worth from eighty to one hundred dollars I want an equal division among all my children those that have had some if it proves to be more than their share they will pay back to the balance to make them equalwith the rest. Sixthly, I hereby Constitute and appoint my beloved wife Elizabety J Royal and Arthur D.
