LOWERY. Mrs. W. E. Lowery died last Thursday at the home of her son, Mr. R. Lowery, several miles from town. Mrs. Lowery had been in feeble for some time, and her death was not unexpected. The remains were brought to Eastman Friday and interred in Woodlawn Cemetery, Rev. B. S. Sentell conducting the funeral services at the grave. Mrs. Lowery had attained the remaekable age of 84 years. She was a member of the Methodist church, a gentle lady, loyal to every duty of family and home. Mr. J. E. Lowery and Mrs. Henry McKinnon of this city are among her children. Additional Comments: Compiler Notes: Her date of death on the grave is wrong, she died 17 Jan 1907 per this obituary. Her name was Nancy Helen Maloy, the daughter of Hugh M. Maloy & Jeannette Bain. Her husband William Elcainer "Caner" Lowery died 22 Dec 1893 and is buried next to her at Woodlawn Cemetery, Eastman, Dodge County, Georgia. They are both listed in Find A Grave (Woodlawn Cemetery).
