DODGE COUNTY NEWSPAPER CLIPPINGS Volume VIII. 1949-1955 By: Tad Evans See Page 4153 Thursday, November 1, 1951 DR. D. W. F. MALOY DIES IN EASTMAN AFTER A LONG ILLNESS. Funeral services were held this afternoon in the Sharon Baptist church for Dr. Daniel William Franklin Maloy, 61, prominent practing physician of Milan for many years, who died in the Eastman Hospital Wednesday of a heart ailment, after several weeks illness. The Rev. J. H. Davis, pastor of the Milan Baptist church, officiated, assisted by Rev. O. A Grant. Pallbearers were W. J. Marchant, Jim Vaughn, Grady McCranie, Leonard Yawn, Paul Whitfield and John Dunaway. Dr. Maloy was born in Telfair county in August, 1890, the son of John K. and Mary Daniel Ryals Maloy. He was married to Clara Jeanette Bullington on February 22, 1926, and was a member of the Milan Baptist church and the Masonic lodge. Surviving are his wife, two sons, Joe Maloy and Franklin Maloy, of Milan, and two sisters, Mrs. Mae McMillan, of Jay Bird Springs, and Mrs. Sallie Royal, of Milan. Burial was in the Sharon Cemetery with Harris & Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements--From Telfair Enterprise, October 25. Additional Comments: Compiler Notes: Dr. Daniel William Franklin "Tuck" Maloy was born in Telfair County on 24 October 1890 and died at the Eastman Hospital in Dodge County, Georgia on 24 October 1951. He was married 1st to Carrie Belle Taylor, they had two children. Mother and children are buried at Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Bacon County, Georgia and can be found on Find a Grave listing. He married 2nd Clara Jeanette Bullington she was born 22 April 1901 in Georgia and died on 14 Mar 1989 in Tifton, Tift County, Georgia. She was buried at Sharon Baptist church cemetery beside her husband. They also can be found on Find a Grave at Sharon Baptist Church, Telfair County, Georgia.
