Funeral services were held in Mt.Galilee Baptist Church Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock for Mrs. Alice Smith Clements,57, who died ath the home of her daughter Mrs.Mattie Prickett five days after suffering a stroke. The Rev.Clayton Towns officiated, and burial was in the church cemetery with Harris & Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Clements was born in Telfair County, the daughter of Horace and Mary Bragg Smith, and was a member of Mt.Galilee Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Russell Prickett, J.W. Roberson, William Pope, William Walker, T.E.Dixon and Carl Reid. She is survived by two sons, Fred Clements,of Ft Meade, Fla., J.R.Clemenst, of Savanna, six daughters, Mrs.Viola Brown, of Alamo; Mrs.Mattie Prickett and Mrs.Mary Walker of this county, Mrs.Estelle Reid, of Anderson,Ala; Mrs.Eva Hulett,of Macon;and Mrs. Lola Hogan of South Dakota; one sister Mrs.Susie Brown of Lumber City; and two brothers, Dave Smith and John Smith, of this county.
