                MRS. JOHN ALLEN YAWN DIES AT CHAUNCEY HOME.
   Mrs. John Allen Yawn, an aged and greatly loved Chauncey woman, died at her 
home Monday night of the infirmities of old age, she having reached her 83rd 
birthday October 18 last.  She was a native of  Telfair County and was a 
daughter of G. T. and Sarah Studstill.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist 
Church.
   Funeral services were conducted at Elbethel Church Tuesday afternoon by 
Rev. L. R. Lancaster and Rev. O. A. Grant.  Hymns were sung by Mrs. O. G. 
Davis, Ruth Roberson, Rev. O. A. Grant, Mrs. Robert Kytle and Mrs. Susie 
Collins.
   Marion Mann, Albert Williams, Arnold Evans, John Taylor, Wilbur Jackson and 
Raymond Mann served as pallbearers.  Interrment was in Elbethel Cemetery.
   Mrs. Yawn is survived by her husband; two sons, R. O. and George C. Yawn; 
seven daughters, Mrs. Lucile Pitts, Mrs. Mary Williams, Mrs. Carrie Mann, Mrs. 
Mattie Compton, Mrs. Callie Kirkley, Mrs. Cora Lee Kirkley and Mrs. Alice 
Pitts; two brothers, George and Tom Studstill, and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Dowdy.

Studstill (born 1828 and died 1895) Her mother was: Sarah Jane Weeks ( born 25 
July 1836 and Died 15 August 1876) Parents were married 2 May 1852 in Telfair 
County., Georgia. Burial Places Unknown. Ref: Tad Evans notes from his 
database.
