GEORGIA PIONEERS May 1972 Vol IX #2

To settle all difficulty, and to avoid all litigation as to lot of 
land #129 11th Dist. of Terrell Co Ga. I the undersigned Charles C. Brown Jr. 
of said county and state, having bought of one Seaborn Hay said lot of land, 
and not being satisfied with his title exihibited by James E Randolph of Jackson Co Ga., 
representing himself and Allen C. Daniel of Elbert Co Ga, and recognizing 
their title as being better than the title of said Hay, and thee true title 
to said land, I have this day bought said land of said Randolph & Daniel at & 
for the sum of four hundred dollars; fifty dollars of which I have this day 
paid in cash, and executed to them my two promissory notes for $172.00 each 
with interest from date at 9 percent per annum to fall due in Nov. 1880 & 1881 
and rec'd of them their bond for title to be made when said notes are paid.
