The Dawson News (Dawson, GA), Wednesday, 15 November 1905 November 15, 1905
     Whereas, Dr. T. H. Thurmond has decided to sever his connection with the 
Dawson Methodist Sunday school by his removal to another city; therefore 
resolved:  That we regret exceedingly his departure from among us; that we 
thus record our gratitude for his faithful and efficient service as our 
secretary; that we heartily commend him to the church and school with which he 
will unite as a Christian gentleman and brother worthy of confidence and 
fellowship; that we give him the assurance of our prayers that the grace of 
God may abound and the blessings of Heaven may abide for the welfare of 
himself and family.

Dr. Thurmond moved to Columbus, GA.
