Foster, a young man, son of the widow Foster, living six or seven miles east of Dawson, left town for home driving two spirited horses to a wagon. About an hour afterwards the horses arrived home, or near home, without a driver and with the lines broken. A brother of Mr. Foster immediately started back towards town in search of William, and found his dead body lying in the middle of the road, near the Ross place, about three miles from town. There was a severe contusion on the forehead and it was supposed that his neck was broken. It was supposed that there was no one with Mr. Foster at the time the accident occurred.
