Kennedy Expired Suddenly at His Saw Mill Thursday. Was in Apparent Good Health. Mr. Robert W. Kennedy, a former citizen of Dawson, but for the past year or two a resident of Bronwood, died suddenly at this saw mill in Lee county Thursday morning about 10 o'clock. Mr. Kennedy was in apparent good health, and his death was a shock to his family and friends. He was attending to his affiars around the mill Thursday morning as usual, and had just pushed up the fire in the slab pit and stepped into the shade of a tree when death struck him. He fell to the ground and died almost instantly. His remains were brought to his home in Bronwood, and from there were buried in the cemetery at Chickasawhatchee church, near Dawson, Friday afternoon after appropriate and impressive services by Elders R.H. Jennings and W.T. Everett. Mr. Kennedy was 48 years of age, and is survivied by a wife and five children. He was a consistent member of the Primitive Baptist church, and his entire life was one that won for him the esteem and respect of every one. For many years he was yard foreman for the Variety Works Company in Dawson, and had many friends there and elsewhere who sincerely regret his death.
