Mrs. Carolyn Glass Kennedy, 82, of Bronwood died Friday, August 23, at Sumter 
Regional Hospital after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were 
held Saturday afternoon, August 24, at the Bronwood Baptist Church with the 
Rev. H.W. Phillips of Moultrie and the Rev. Roy Rogers of Smithville, both 
former pastors of the Bronwood Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial was in the 
Bronwood Cemetery.  Harvey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.  Mrs. 
Kennedy was born March 19, 1903 in Terrell County and spent all her lifetime 
in the Bronwood area.  Her parents were the late Roy J. Glass and Maude Bryan 
Glass.  She was married to the late John Lee Kennedy.  She was a member of the 
Bronwood Baptist Church and spent a year and a half at Magnolia Manor.  
Survivors include three sons, James W. Kennedy and Gordon Kennedy of Albany 
and Gene Kennedy of Cuthbert; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Miller of Smithville 
and Mrs. W.J. Wootten of Jacksonville, Florida; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-
grandchildren; a brother Harold Glass of Albany, and two sisters, Mrs. F.E. 
Joiner of Albany and Mrs. James Bynum of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  Pall 
bearers were Larry Kennedy, Jay Kieve, Jimmie Kennedy, Dwayne Kennedy, Hal 
Isreal, and Mark Brooks.
