Pickett To Be Buried Saturday Dawson, Ga., March 21 – Funeral services for Mr. Dewitt C. Pickett, representative-elect from Terrell County and one of the best known citizens of southwest Georgia will be conducted from the residence, Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. Many friends from a distance will be in attendance. As a member of the Georgia legislature at different times covering a period of several years, Mr. Pickett had identified himself with many progressive movements. He also had extensive business connections, having achieved a marked success in the Chero-Cola business and he was a director of the Bank of Dawson. ----------------- Mr. Pickett will be remembered here as having made during the recent senatorial race the ablest political speech delivered in this section during the campaign. He has many friends in this section of the state who will regret very much to learn of his death.
