Mrs. T. H. Thurmond's Sudden Demise a Shock to Her Friends. The death of Mrs. T. H. Thurmond Sunday morning, after an illness of only a day or two, was a great shock to relatives and friends and a source of profound sorrow. Although she had been indisposed for a few days her condition was not at all serious until Saturday morning, when she became alarmingly worse, gradually sinking, notwishstanding the heroic efforst of physicians, until Sunday morning at ten o'clock, when the end came. The interment occurred Monday afternoon in Cedar Hill cemetery after funeral services, appropriate and impressive, at the home in which her pastor, Rev. O. F. Cook, and other ministeres of the city took part. She was a member of the Methodist church and a devoted and consecrated christian woman, beloved by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Dr. T. H. Thurmond, and a little girl and boy. Sorrowful themselves, many friends offer their sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones.
